Join us for HBCU Alumni Weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada, October 24–25, 2025, a two-day celebration uniting alumni, students, and supporters from across the nation for an unforgettable weekend of music, football, and culture.

At the heart of the celebration is the Inaugural Las Vegas HBCU Classic, featuring two storied football programs—Grambling State University vs. Jackson State University—on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the world-class Allegiant Stadium. Fans will experience not only a thrilling gridiron matchup but also the Battle of the Bands Halftime Show, showcasing the electrifying performances of the World Famed Tiger Marching Band and the Sonic Boom of the South. This halftime showdown promises to be one of the weekend’s most unforgettable highlights.

The weekend begins on Friday, October 24, 2025, with Welcome to Vegas – Exclusive VIP Concert Afterparty at Resorts World Las Vegas. The evening features a headlining performance by Grammy Award-winning R&B legend Maxwell, joined by the soulful sounds of Lucky Daye, followed by an exclusive afterparty set against the vibrant Vegas backdrop.

On Saturday night, October 25, 2025, the celebration continues with the Grambling vs. Jackson State HBCU Alumni Afterparty at the iconic Hard Rock Cafe Las Vegas Strip (3771 Las Vegas Blvd STE 120, Las Vegas, NV 89109). Doors open at 9 PM with a live DJ, VIP patio, food and drink specials, and alumni from both schools hosting a Vegas-style afterparty filled with music, entertainment, and pure HBCU pride.

From the unforgettable concert experience to the historic football showdown and the epic Battle of the Bands, HBCU Alumni Weekend Las Vegas is set to become a premier destination event that celebrates culture, tradition, and excellence in true HBCU fashion.

This highly anticipated weekend brings together alumni from Historically Black Colleges and Universities and The Ohio State University for a powerful fusion of tradition, connection, and community pride. From career advancement opportunities to unforgettable entertainment, the weekend kicks off on Friday, September 5, with the HBCU Alumni Job & Career Fair 10 am – 3 pm, where professionals and graduates can explore career expansion, on-site interviews, hiring opportunities, and networking with top employers. With vendors, giveaways, and complimentary refreshments, the energy will be high as the weekend sets the tone for empowerment and success.  Followed by the HBCU Alumni Weekend 2025 Welcome to Columbus” Reception at Cut 132 Easton Town Center—the official kick-off celebration where culture, class, and Columbus come together! 

The celebration continues into Saturday, September 6 with the HBCU & OSU Alumni Tailgate Party at the Fairfield by Marriott Columbus OSU 10 am – 6 pm, followed by the Exclusive Afterparty at Canopy by Hilton Short North Downtown Columbus as the Grambling State Tigers take on the Ohio State Buckeyes this will give a perfect party in a high-energy showdown that promises school spirit like never before. Attendees will enjoy an electric atmosphere filled with food, music, and fellowship, including a VIP experience for guests looking to elevate their weekend. 

Sunday, September 7, rounds out the festivities with HBCU Ball & Parlay Brunch at one of Columbus’ premier bars and lounges, Cut 132 Easton Town Center offering more opportunities to reconnect and reflect, capping off a weekend dedicated to honoring academic legacies, uplifting Black excellence, and uniting alumni from across the country.
